Trump Claims War in Iran is “Pretty Much Complete” After Ten Days

President Donald Trump has told the nation that the war in Iran is “pretty much complete” after just ten days of intense military action. Trump claimed that the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes have decimated the Iranian military, leaving them with no air force, navy, or reliable communications. He described the operation as a “short-term excursion” that was essential to remove “evil” from the region.
The President’s assessment comes amid a leadership change in Tehran, with Mojtaba Khamenei being named the new Supreme Leader. Trump has been vocal in his disapproval, calling the younger Khamenei a “lightweight” and an “unacceptable” choice. This suggests that the U.S. aims to continue its pressure until a more favorable leadership emerges.
The war has caused significant volatility in global energy markets, with oil prices spiking before stabilizing. Trump has issued a stern warning that any attempt by Iran to block the Strait of Hormuz would result in a retaliation “twenty times harder.” He has also suggested that the U.S. may take a more direct role in securing the strategic waterway for global trade.
Regional tensions have remained high, with Iranian drones and missiles targeting U.S. bases and allies in the Gulf. Trump has praised the performance of the American and Israeli militaries, stating that they are “far ahead of schedule.” However, he also noted that the coalition has “not won enough” yet to fully declare victory.
As the conflict moves into its second week, the human cost is mounting, with hundreds of casualties and widespread displacement. Trump’s focus remains on a quick and decisive end to the war that protects American interests and the global economy. The President’s next steps will determine the future stability of the Middle East.
