“Not Good for America”: The Damning Verdict on the Modi-Xi-Putin Summit

“Not good for America.” That was the simple, damning verdict from US political commentator Van Jones on the recent SCO summit that saw the leaders of India, China, and Russia in a powerful display of unity. His analysis reflects a growing fear in the West that a new, formidable anti-US coalition has finally taken shape.
Jones described the meeting as a “historically big deal,” urging Americans to pay close attention to the shifting geopolitical sands. The image of Narendra Modi, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin together, he said, should be a “chilling” one for the US, as it signals a coordinated effort to challenge its global dominance.
This challenge is being mounted in direct response to American economic policies. The Trump administration’s persistent use of tariffs has provided the glue to bind these three major powers together. Their joint appearance was a carefully orchestrated piece of political theater designed to showcase their collective strength and defiance.
The strategic implications are severe, according to Jones. He explained that the US, once the master of geopolitical maneuvering, now finds itself on the “bad side of the triangle.” This new “multipolar world,” he warned, is one in which the US is isolated and faces a world where it feels like “everybody is against us.”
